Broker Comparison

The right broker depends on how you trade and how much you are starting with. These guides split it by both.

Brokers, their ratings and their affiliate links are managed from the admin panel, the same way articles are. Nothing here is generated automatically, because a broker recommendation should be a considered editorial decision.

What actually matters when choosing

  • Fees against your position size. A $5 commission is nothing on a $10,000 trade and ruinous on a $200 one.
  • Fractional shares. On a small account, being able to buy a fraction of an expensive share is the difference between sizing a position properly and not taking it at all.
  • The pattern day trader rule. Under $25,000 in a US margin account you are limited to three day trades in five business days. That rule shapes which broker and which style make sense.
  • Execution and platform stability. This only becomes obvious on the day it matters, which is usually the worst possible day.

Some broker links on this site may be affiliate links, meaning we could earn a commission at no cost to you. That never changes what we publish about them.
