How the ratings are calculated
Each stock receives three scores out of 100. Trend measures where price sits against its 20, 50 and 200 day averages and how those averages are stacked. Momentum reads RSI, the MACD crossover, recent performance and volume. Risk scores volatility, average true range relative to price, distance to support and liquidity, with a higher number meaning safer. The overall score weights trend at 40%, momentum at 35% and risk at 25%, and a Buy rating additionally requires the trend score to agree, so a bouncing stock in a downtrend is never rated a buy.
